Plans and pricing for the Child Allowance app
Free for one child. Premium when the family grows.
The core loop — assign a job, approve it, watch the allowance add up — is free and unlimited for one child. Premium lifts the limits and turns on recurring jobs.
- No debit card. It keeps score; you hand over the money however you already do.
- No bank account. Nothing to open, verify or link, for you or your child.
- No card fee. Free for one child, and the paid plan is for bigger families and recurring jobs, not for plastic.
- No minimum age, no country list. It works wherever you are, from the age a child can tick a box.

days of Premium when you sign up — no card. Add every child, switch on recurring jobs, and run a few real paydays. If you do nothing when it ends, the family moves to Free: nothing is deleted and every past payday stays visible, but only your first child and first parent account stay active, and recurring jobs stop generating. Upgrade whenever you like and all of it switches back on.
Before you decide
The questions a paid plan raises
- We’re already using Child Allowance — what happens to a family with two children?
- Nothing is ever deleted. On the free plan a family that holds more than one child or parent account keeps all of it, and you can still see it — but only the first child and the first parent account stay active, and recurring jobs stop generating new tasks. Upgrade and everything switches back on the same moment, exactly as it was.
- Why isn’t there a card?
- Because the app keeps score rather than moving money. You pay your child however you already do, in cash, from a jar, or into an account you already have, and the app records what was earned and why. That is also why it works from any age and in any country, and why nobody pays a fee for plastic.
- Do children ever see adverts?
- Never — on any plan. The child dashboard and home screen carry no advertising and never will. If ads are ever switched on at all, they would appear only on the parent dashboard and these public guides, and Premium removes them from the parent dashboard too.
- Is it billed per child?
- No. One price per family, however many children you add.
- Is there an iOS or Android app?
- Not yet — both are in the works. Today it runs in any phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen for one-tap access. Your family, children and history carry over unchanged when the apps arrive.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from a self-service billing page — no email to us. In the EU and UK you also have the standard 14-day right to cancel a digital subscription.
- Monthly or annual?
- Both. Annual is £29.90 (about £2.49 a month); monthly is £2.99. Start on the trial and pick before it ends.
